Born in Cairo Egypt in 1980, Visual Artist and Curator, works as
a Lecturer in Design department, Faculty of Art Education,
Helwan University. Founder of “It Looks like a book” artist book
studio, Cairo, Egypt.
Salama graduated with a B.Sc. from the Faculty of Education –
Art & Culture, Helwan University in Cairo in 2002, then obtained
M.A in 2009 and PhD in Design & Media Art in 2016 From the
them Faculty.
Salama, started his journey As a Visual Artist from 1999 utilizing
art to reflect on the concept of time and its relationship with the
human life and its impact on dreams and knowledge.
Salama has executed national and international multimedia art
projects manipulating different visual elements and media
including interactive digital installation, performance, book art,
video art, wall painting & painting.
Salama has conducted numerous Solo Exhibitions and
participated in many International and Local Exhibitions since
1999.
Salama has received several national and international awards for
his work, amongst which The First Prize in the IV Biennial of
Millenarian Art, Quito, Ecuador 2012 (Book Art Installation).
